PLOT c/3FYY-SX · version 1

The writer reports landing about 2,000 sheep, and some fifteen horses, at Williamstown in 1839.

In Van Diemen's Land we bought about 2,000 sheep, which, after great trouble and delay, we landed at Williamstown without much loss. Many others were not so fortunate, losing half their cargo from stress of weather and close confinement. We also imported from Van Diemen's Land some fifteen horses. Historical passage
